AS4EDI-19 Action: European EDI Providers integrating the AS4 eDelivery

The main objective of this Action is to promote the use of the eDelivery DSI-Digital Service Infrastructure amongst private and public entities by integrating the AS4 messaging protocol, specifically the eDelivery AS4 Profile, in five already certified PEPPOL Access Points (APs) from different Member States (Sweden, Italy, and Denmark).

These APs of the EDI providers of the consortium (Crediflow AB, Tickstar AB, Qvalia Group AB, Net4market – CSAMED S.R.L., and mySupply ApS) are currently linked to the Electronic Registered Delivery Services (ERDS) of their cloud platforms. These ERDS are used by their clients from several Member States and were developed according to the requirements set in the eIDAS Regulation (Regulation EU 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services). Therefore, the implementation of each AP covers the transition from AS2 to AS4, as well as the upgrade and deployment of the respective Service Metadata Publisher (SMPs), which will allow their clients to operate via PEPPOL network with the new eDelivery AS4 profile.

By promoting the use of eDelivery DSI, this Action will enable a large number of European entities, which are already using the eDelivery services provided by the members of AS4EDI-19 consortium, access to the cross-border exchange of electronic documents according to the technical specifications of the EU Core Service Platform and based on the eDelivery AS4 profile. This Action will promote the use of eDelivery DSI around Europe, especially in the several Member States where the EDI providers and their clients are based.

The project is co-financed by the European Commission within the CEF Telecom Program managed by INEA (Innovation and Networks Executive Agency) and through the 2019 CEF Telecom Call – eDelivery (CEF-TC-2019-1).
