A new eDelivery project starts: AS4EDI

April 12th, 2019

AS4EDI is a project co-financed by the European Commission within the CEF Telecom Program, managed by INEA (Executive Agency of Innovation and Networks) through the 2018 CEF Telecom eDelivery call (CEF-TC-2018-2). The project started on January 2019 and it is expected to be concluded by June 2020. The consortium is coordinated by Universitat de València in collaboration with LMT Group, and involves several EDI Providers with plenty of experience on the field: Billit, OpusCapita, Viaduct, Calvi, Generix and NetEDI.

The main goal of the Action is to promote the use of the eDelivery DSI (Digital Service Infrastructure) amongst both private and public entities by integrating the AS4 protocol into six certified PEPPOL Access Points and their respective Service Metadata Publishers (SMP) from different Member States (Belgium, Finland, Sweden, The Netherlands, France and UK). This Action covers the transition from AS2 to AS4 profile in each Access Point of the Consortium members, as well as the upgrade and deployment of their respective SMP.

As a result of this Action, a large number of European entities that are already using eDelivery services provided by the members of the AS4EDI consortium will have access to the cross-border exchange of electronic documents, according to the technical specification of the EU Core Service Platform, based on eDelivery AS4 Profile.
