CEN and European Commission signed an agreement on free access for two eInvoicing technical publications

January 18th, 2019

The European Committee of Standardization (CEN) and the European Commission have signed an agreement that will grant costless access to the semantic data model and the two mandatory syntaxes of the European standard on eInvoicing (CEN/TS 16931-2:2017 and EN 16931-1:2017). CEN will also offer guidance on the Directive 2014/55/EU of Electronic Invoicing in public procurement. These two actions will allow national public and private entities to apply the publications´ guidelines and meet the requirements for eInvoicing provided by CEN. The deadline for EU State Members implementation of the eInvoicing Directive is April the 18th, 2019.

LMT Group has taken part in eInvoicing projects co-financed by the European Commission to help partners to meet Directive 2014/55/EU requirements. POOL-TSPs Project will support 10 EDI providers from several Member States to meet the European Standard (EN) on electronic invoicing for cross-border transactions.
