January 20th , 2019

An agreement that grants costless access to the semantic data model and the two mandatory syntaxes of the European standard on eInvoicing (CEN/TS 16931-2:2017 and EN 16931-1:2017) has been signed by The European Committee of Standardization (CEN) and the European Commission. CEN will also advise on the Directive 2014/55/EU of Electronic Invoicing in public procurement. These two actions will allow national public and private entities to implement the necessary guidelines to meet the requirements for eInvoicing provided by CEN. The last day for EU State Members to implement the eInvoicing Directive is April the 18th , 2019.

The project EUROFACE, co-financed by the European Commission, has the objective of meeting the requirements of the Directive 2014/55/EU. This action is aimed at providing a central eInvoicing solution to all regional and local public authorities in Spain by using the European standard (EN) on electronic invoice for cross-border transactions.
