Last July 25th, the IRTIC (Universitat de València) hosted in Valencia the first Consortium Meeting of the AS4EDI project, “European EDI Providers integrating the AS4 eSENS Profile” (Action number: 2018-EU-IA-0060).
During this meeting, Universitat de València, with the support of the project’s Technical Manager, LMT Group, and the implementing providers: Billit, OpusCapita, Viaduct, Calvi, Generix Group, and NetEDI, reviewed the work plan, identified and shared the problems they may face, and shared all the available tools for the successful implementation of the project.
One of the main objectives of the AS4EDI Action is to promote the use of the eDelivery DSI (Digital Service Infrastructure) amongst private and public entities in the European Union. The project comprises several Member States (Belgium, Finland, Sweden, The Netherlands, France, and United Kingdom), and will cover the adoption of the AS4 profile of each Access Point of the consortium members, as well as the update and implementation of the corresponding SMPs. This will allow the clients of the participant companies to use a safer and more efficient profile while sending and receiving electronic documents.
The promotion of the use of eDelivery infrastructures will improve trust services for electronic transactions and the secure interchange of data in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 (eIDAS Regulation), essential for economic and social development of the European Union.
