Close to the date of mandatory compliance of the European eInvoicing directive, a conference to explain the challenges of eInvoicing was held on November the 19th at Universidad de Murcia.

Taking place at the Faculty of Law, the conference was attended by many eInvoicing experts whom, during the first part of the event, gave a brief overview on the European and Spanish standardization advances and current status on electronic invoice. During the second part, a series of lecturers from various university and government institutions gave presentations where a broader view on the status of eInvoicing within Spain was discussed.

In this framework, the EUROFACe project was highlighted. Being granted by the European Commission and aiming at providing a central eInvoicing solution to regional and local public Spanish authorities. It will aid them to meet the requirements of the Directive 2014/55/EU, while guaranteeing that cross-border transactions will also comply with these guidelines. EUROFACe is a project coordinated by Universidad de Zaragoza in which participates LMT Group and Ministerio de Hacienda y Función Pública (Spanish Ministry of Finance), among others.
