eDelivery Building Block has recently announced the release of the eDelivery AS4 v.1.15, technical specifications. The most significant improvement of this new version is the possibility of exchanging large messages (over 2GB) thanks to the addition of the ebMS3 Part 2 ‘Split and Join’ protocol. This change has been widely requested by users and it has been approved after having gone through a deep study. Other minor new features related to the WS-Security header, TLS 1.3 allowance and small editorial fixes are also included. For further information, please, refer to the news on the CEF website.
This enhancement may be of interest to some of the technicians and stakeholders related to our CEF co-funded Action AS4EDI19 – European EDI Providers integrating the AS4 eDelivery (CEF Telecom program, Action number 2019-EU-IA-0012). The consortium of this project is composed, besides UVEG (Coordinator) and LMT (Technical Manager), of several European partners which are promoting AS4 eDelivery in several Member States, namely Sweden, Italy and Denmark, among others.
Some of the AS4EDI19 beneficiaries are working on the testing phase and they are close to having their CEF conformant AS4 eDelivery Access Point operational. Thus, it is a good chance to envisage the new message exchange possibilities of their newly implemented solutions.
