INEA ceased operations on 31 March 2021. Then, the two following agencies are taking over, from 1 April 2021 on, the diverse CEF funded European projects that were managed by INEA:
- The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) now manages the Transport and Energy parts of the CEF programme.
- The European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) is taking over the Digital part of CEF, namely, CEF Telecom legacy portfolio as well as additional EU funding programmes.
HaDEA website presents the relation to its parent Directorate-Generals which are focused on legislative and strategic tasks in policy making. These are specifically DG CNECT, DEFIS, GROW, RTD and SANTE which is the lead DG for the HaDEA. It addresses the European Commission’s ambition to help rebuild a post-COVID-19 Europe at its heart, which will be greener, more digital, more resilient and better fit for the current and forthcoming challenges.
Besides the implementation of new programmes, this new agency will take over the outstanding financial commitments and projects from the predecessor programmes (“legacy”). Hence, our AS4EDI19 project – European EDI Providers integrating the AS4 eDelivery (co-financed by the CEF Telecom program, Action number 2019-EU-IA-0012) is now managed by HaDEA.
