The eID@Cloud Project is in Connectivity phase

April  30th, 2018

The eID@Cloud project based on the integration of the eIdentification in the European cloud platforms is in its connectivity phase. This project aims to implement the eIdentification in the cloud platforms of the five European EDI providers and partners of the consortium. The project consists on connecting of the five eIDAS nodes of each implicated country Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland and Spain. eID@Cloud Project promotes the cross-border communication, the validation, integration and authentication of the information exchanged in the B2B, B2C and B2G contexts.

The eID@Cloud project has a significant impact on the Digital single market (EU). This eIdentification action promotes the uptake and use of the eID to facilitate the access to all the European citizens and companies who, using their national eID will be able to access all the services offered by the five EDI cloud platforms. Thus, the European single market guarantees security in the cross-border mobility and support to the Digital information exchange.

The eIDAS nodes of each country are in their initial steps concluding the interoperability tests within eIDAS node network. The project will conclude on September 30th, 2018.
